PENERAPAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PUZZLE UNTUK MENGATASI KETERLAMBATAN BERBICARA PADA ANAK USIA DINI DI RA AL-HIJRAH BATAM

Abstract

Speech delay in early childhood is a developmental problem that can affect children's communication and social skills. Interesting learning media that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood are needed to stimulate speech skills. This study aims to determine the application of puzzle learning media in overcoming speech delays in early childhood. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, through observation, interviews, and documentation activities. The subjects of the study were early childhood children who experienced speech delays in early childhood education institutions. The results showed that the application of puzzle media can improve children's speech abilities, characterized by increased vocabulary, children's courage in expressing words and simple sentences, and increased verbal interaction during learning activities. Puzzle media can create a fun learning atmosphere, encourage children to actively communicate, and help children associate images with words. Thus, puzzle learning media can be used as an alternative learning media that is effective in overcoming speech delays in early childhood.
