Abstract

Developing an innovative curriculum for Islamic Religious Education (PAI)
based on effective communication is a strategic effort to improve the quality of learning
relevant to the challenges of the times. An effective communication-based curriculum is
designed to equip students with effective, ethical, and Islamic-values communication
skills, both in everyday life and in the digital environment. This research aims to identifyneeds, design, and implement a curriculum model that supports the development of
students' communication skills, using a thematic and collaborative approach.
The research employed a qualitative approach, encompassing literature review,
needs analysis, and curriculum testing through limited classroom implementation. The
results indicate that integrating Islamic values with the concept of effective
communication can increase student engagement, material comprehension, and their
ability to apply religious values in social interactions. Furthermore, the designed
curriculum utilizes digital technology as a learning support tool, creating an interactive
and contextual learning experience.
